Trendy drinks now served at Silicon Valley bars
- "Gimme an 'I.P.O.'"
Pretty popular these days. Problem is that everyone is trying to get one, so the bar winds up a too crowded and no one notices their dates getting bored and leaving.
- "How about a 'Bill Basher'?"
A classic closet drink. Everyone buys a glass or two, but it gets poured into the potted plants if Mr. Gates shows up to 'chat'.
- "'Packet Trace', please."
Make that a double for one dollar more? Nerd.
- "'Markup Language', blended."
A drink no one knew about two years ago, and whaddya know, everyone's ordering one now.
- "'Apple Basher'. With lemon."
Like a 'Bill Basher', but it doesn't get poured out. Seems to be in style once every six months or so.
- "'Java'."
Forget it. The bartender will have to buy three books and call four other bars to figure out how to make one.
